exactly one week ago today it was my birthday, and on friday i went out to dinner with a few friends (the few left in the city over the holiday weekend!) to celebrate. we went to a restaurant called counter. i was excited about the idea of finally being able to order everything on the menu, but i have to admit it wasn't quite as great as i was hoping. still, we had a great time, especially after we left the restaurant.
